About Ko Unoki
Ko Unoki has worked in the electronics and healthcare industries for several decades and was also a Senior Fellow at the 21st Century Public Policy Institute of the Federation of Japanese Economic Organizations (Keidanren).
Experienced and skilled in marketing management, corporate strategy formulation, international business, he has strong cross-cultural and international communication, management, and negotiation and leadership skills nurtured over several decades from living, working, and studying in Japan, the USA, UK, Germany, Hong Kong, and Singapore. While having an extensive career in international business, he has managed to have written and published to date four books on several subjects ranging from business M&As, imperialism, racism, diplomacy, Japan-United States relations, competition laws, and international relations theory.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) degree majoring in international politics, law, and organizations at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, an MBA from Royal Holloway, University of London, an MA degree in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, an LL.M in Business Law, and a doctorate degree in business administration (DBA) from the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (ICS) of Hitotsubashi University, Japan. He is a member of the US history honor society Phi Alpha Theta since 1982.
